Our standard
Globugg is for sharing real moments from real places, without putting people or communities at risk. People should be able to discover a place without being deceived, harassed, filmed intrusively or pushed into unsafe actions. These Guidelines are part of our Terms of Use. We consider content, context, intent, credible harm, repeat behavior and the law. The rules apply to everyone, whatever their follower count and whether or not a Bugg is boosted.
1. Keep it real
- A Bugg should show what's happening at the place you pin it to, around the time you post it. Don't post stock, recycled, staged or AI-generated footage as if it were live.
- Post footage you filmed yourself or have the right to use. Trimming and light edits are fine; if a clip is older or from somewhere else, say so in the caption.
- Don't fake locations or times, or use captions that misrepresent what's happening.
- Don't use realistic AI-generated people, voices or events to mislead, impersonate or defraud. If you post synthetic content, label it clearly.
- Don't broadcast confidential police or emergency operations, or private information, just to be first.
2. Keep yourself and others safe
No credible threats, glorifying or instructing violence, encouraging suicide or self-harm, dangerous challenges, using weapons to intimidate, reckless driving, interfering with first responders, stalking, trespassing, or risky filming from roads, railways, rooftops or restricted areas. Don't encourage anyone to copy dangerous stunts. Emergency footage should respect the people affected and stay out of responders' way. If someone is in immediate danger, call local emergency services; reporting a Bugg isn't a substitute.
3. No nudity or sexual exploitation
No pornography, sexually explicit acts, offers of sexual services, intimate images shared without consent, voyeurism, or filming in bathrooms, changing rooms or other private spaces. Never post, ask for, threaten to share or link to child sexual abuse material or any sexualized content involving minors. We preserve evidence and report apparent child sexual exploitation to the authorities as the law requires. AI-generated or "deepfake" intimate images of real people without their consent are prohibited. To ask for intimate images of you to be removed, use our removal request form.
4. No hate, harassment or bullying
No attacks or dehumanizing content targeting people for protected characteristics (such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation); no threats, repeated unwanted targeting, deliberate humiliation, sexual harassment, slurs or incitement to discrimination or violence. This includes live comments, captions, names, bios, hashtags and coordinated pile-ons. Criticizing ideas and public matters isn't automatically harassment; context matters.
5. Respect privacy and people on camera
Don't secretly film in private settings or reveal private addresses, phone numbers, IDs, school schedules, financial details, precise live locations or anything else that could help someone harass a person (doxxing). Being in public doesn't make someone fair game to target or endanger; follow filming, audio recording, trespass and publicity laws. If someone reasonably asks you to blur or remove footage of them for privacy or safety reasons, stop targeting them and let us review it; we weigh privacy, safety, public interest, the law and everyone's rights, so removal isn't automatic. Don't identify survivors or vulnerable people unnecessarily. Don't use hidden microphones or drones unlawfully.
6. Extra protection for young people
Globugg is for adults: you must be 18 or older (or older where the law requires) to use it. Never film or post children in exploitative, sexualized, degrading or dangerous situations; never reveal a child's school, home, routine, current location or contact details, or encourage strangers to approach them. Get any parental permission the law requires. If children appear in the background, keep them out of focus and avoid identifying them. Don't use a young person's account to get around age limits. Child-safety reports are escalated straight away. Read our full child safety standards.
7. No illegal trade, scams or fraud
No drug dealing, unlawful weapons sales, human trafficking, forged documents, criminal services, phishing, impersonation fraud, investment or get-rich-quick scams, fake fundraisers, payment diversion, or recruiting people into illegal activity. Don't post instructions meant to help someone commit serious crimes. Reporting and documentary content is judged in context; actual offers of prohibited goods or services are never allowed.
8. Respect copyright and people's likenesses
Don't post films, TV, concert recordings, copyrighted music, photos, artwork or clips you don't have the right to use. A credit isn't permission. Be careful with music playing in the background at events. Rights holders can report infringement through our Content and Safety Reporting Policy. You're responsible for having the rights to the video, audio, performances, location access and any trademarks or likenesses in your content.
9. No spam, fake engagement or manipulation
Don't buy or fake likes, followers, views or comments, run engagement rings, post the same thing over and over, use bots, bait people with false captions, or post links that trick people into giving away passwords. Disclose paid promotional relationships. Real enthusiasm and creative editing are welcome; faking facts or reach isn't.
10. Don't impersonate anyone
No accounts pretending to be another person, an official body, a business, a reporter or an emergency service, and no false claims of verification. Parody and satire must be clearly labelled and not misleading, malicious or infringing. Don't post stolen or fake identity documents.
11. Sponsored content and boosts
Businesses can post Buggs like anyone. Paid promotion uses boosts, and business promotions are labelled Sponsored. Disclose any other paid relationship. No misleading prices, fake testimonials, false health or financial claims, discriminatory promotions, prohibited products, fake endorsements or claims that Globugg verified you. We may decline a boost even when the Bugg itself is allowed.
12. Be a good neighbor
Respect residents, businesses, nature reserves, private property, crowd limits, filming restrictions, cultural sites and posted rules. Don't block sidewalks, roads, entrances or public services. Don't organize disruptive crowds at a place or use Globugg to harass a venue. Follow instructions from the authorities and staff on site.
13. How we review content
You can report a Bugg, comment or account in the app. Before a Bugg goes live, frames from its video are checked automatically with Azure AI Content Safety; comments are checked before they appear. Reported and flagged content is reviewed by people on our team, and Buggs reported by several people are hidden until reviewed. Automated checks can be wrong. We consider context, urgency, local law, the risk to the people involved and any pattern of violations. Content may be unavailable in one country but allowed in another. We may limit content while we investigate a serious risk. We don't promise to review everything before it's posted.
14. What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, whether it's repeated, and the law: a warning → limiting where content appears → removing the Bugg or comment → temporarily restricting posting or the account → suspension → permanently closing the account. Serious threats, child exploitation, intimate images shared without consent and clear criminal conduct may lead to immediate removal, preservation of evidence and referral to the authorities. Boosts may be declined, stopped or refunded under our Terms and the law. Trying to get around a ban leads to further action. Where the law requires and it's safe, we'll tell you which rule was broken, what we did and how to appeal.
15. Reporting, urgent concerns and appeals
Use Report on the Bugg, comment or account, and add details if you can. For urgent privacy, child safety or intimate-image issues, email [email protected]. Please don't reshare harmful content or send us sexual images of minors as evidence. To ask for intimate images of you to be removed (including under the U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act), use the removal request form; valid requests are acted on within 48 hours. For copyright, use the process in our Content and Safety Reporting Policy, not an appeal.
If we removed your content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, appeal to [email protected] with your username and why you think the decision was wrong. A person reviews every appeal, and we'll give you the information the law requires where you live. Don't harass people who report or moderate.
16. Changes and contact
We may update these Guidelines and will publish the effective date and give any notice the law requires. Contact Bavity LLC, 5301 Alpha Road, Suite 80-709, Dallas, TX 75240, United States, [email protected].
