Child safety standards

Zero tolerance

Globugg prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the sexualization of minors, grooming, sextortion, and any content or behavior that endangers children. This applies to videos (buggs), captions, comments, profiles and messages.

Adults only

Globugg is for people 18 and older. Everyone gives their age before using the service (a date of birth, or the age range Apple or Google Play shares), and we close accounts we learn belong to someone under 18. Our Community Guidelines also forbid filming or posting children in exploitative, sexualized or dangerous situations, or revealing a child's location, school or routine.

Prevention and moderation

Uploaded videos and comments are checked by automated content safety systems before and after they appear, and content reported by several people is hidden until a moderator reviews it. Content that breaks these standards is removed and the accounts involved are closed.

How to report

In the app, tap Report on any bugg, comment or profile and choose the child safety reason. You can also email [email protected] with “Child safety” in the subject. Child safety reports are escalated immediately. Please never forward or re-share abusive material, including to us; send a link or the username instead.

Reporting to authorities

We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to other national and regional authorities as the law requires, preserve evidence as the law requires, and cooperate with law enforcement.

Contact

Our child safety point of contact can be reached at [email protected]. Globugg is operated by Bavity LLC, Dallas, Texas, United States.
